Week 28

Me in Greenwich

Me in Greenwich

Well this week I finally got around to packing my hospital bag as well as the babies one, needless to say packing for labour is expensive when you have one baby, multiply that by 3 and the cost is beyond ridiculous Lol Either way I’m super excited and more than prepared in case they decided to make an early appearance.

I have a few things to celebrate this week, one of them been reaching the 28 week milestone and another been my husband’s new job, which of course has me beaming with pride, sadly I wont be home in time to see him off for his 1st day of work!!!

Peter and Evan have finally booked their flights to come visit and will be here in two weeks time, already thinking of ways to make it an extra special weekend for Evan, will probably take him to Greenwich as the is plenty to see and do there.

This week I have received a multitude of message’s from friends, family and and of course my wonderful followers, and I have nothing but gratitude, because its all those supportive messege’s and feedback I get every week that keep me going……. It has in all honesty crossed my mind a few times to hop on a plane and fly back home, but then I remind myself what I’m doing here, and I try to picture the faces of my three little beans :)

Once again thank you all for taking the time to read my blogs, I feel honored by the amount of new

followers I’m getting every week, you are one wonderful crowd.

Ciao for now,

Week 27

27 Week Triplat Bump

27 Week Triplat Bump

Ok, so now I’m really starting to feel uncomfortable and getting less sleep every night, between the back pain, heartburn, thirst and toilet trips, little time is left for sleep……Never the less roll on the next milestone 28 weeks xD

I finally met my midwife here in the Uk and I must say she is lovely and very professional too, we went through lots, and lots of paper work Lol  I left her clinic feeling pretty reassured since she explained that Kings College Hospital deals with preemies and multiples all the time and therefore they are well prepared for the arrival of my little beans.

Friday I had another scan and OMG how fast are my babies growing, baby c weighed 2lbs 5 Baby b is already weighing a good 2lbs 4 and Baby a is currently in the lead weighing a whopping 2lbs 6, and all this at exactly 27 weeks gestation, I was well chuffed.

After the scan the consultant popped in to see me and explained that they will plan a c section for 34 weeks as that is what is considered full term for triplets.   I have to mention how professional and friendly the whole team were from the Sonographer to the consultant and after meeting them all I have no doubts that me and my boys are in the best hands possible, therefore I’m much more relaxed  and feeling more positive than ever!!

News from Gibraltar, my prams are now on their way to London and all this thanks to Seamus McCarthy from S M Shift It LTD who has kindly offered to bring us everything over free of charge, and further than that he will keep the stuff in storage for us until the babies need them.   I cannot express my gratitude enough, and on behalf of the whole family THANK YOU.

Week 26

Week 26 (Triplet Bump)

Week 26 (Triplet Bump)

These past two weeks in UK have been extremely hard on all the family, and I have to say that it doesn’t get any easier as any little thing will remind me of either my little one or my hubby, so I’m trying to keep myself busy and distracted.

So here I am at almost 27 weeks and starting to really feel the weight now, my back is especially feeling the strain!!  This week I have definitely noticed a massive change in my body, not only physically (because I do look huge lol) but I feel completely drained of energy and I’m very much becoming a couch potato.   I have a funny feeling that these babies will arrive within the next couple of weeks, but I’m kind of hoping I’m wrong, and they continue to bake a little longer.

Every day I make a big effort to go out and walk for a bit to encourage circulation and to get a bit of vitamin D, cause even though bed rest can be very good for some people I believe it’s just as bad to overdo it than it is to stay in bed all day as that could also cause complications such as blood clots.

Last week I started to feel loads of pressure on my cervix together with some contractions and so Dr decided to keep me in hospital overnight under observation, fortunately enough the next morning I woke up feeling great and all the symptoms had died out.  I also had an ultrasound done and I was told all three boys are doing brilliant, and my cervix is still intact which was quite the relief especially after the scare I had. Weeks 24 & 25

photoThe last week and a bit have been especially hard on me, it’s all staring to hit me now, and although I am excited and very happy its getting closer to the date I meet my boys, I’m also nervous and slightly worried, that something might go wrong.

I was admitted into Hospital yet again with Braxton Hicks, and this time it was particularly scary, since the cramps were more consistent and regular, having said this once again my cervix was looked long and closed which put my mind at ease. Nevertheless everyone agreed it would be better I move to UK closer to the hospital where I could receive specialist care, if babies decided to come sooner.

Monday evening was super emotional for me, was the last night I spent with my son and hubby before heading to UK, this is the hardest thing I have EVER had to do, they are my life and I have never spent more a single night away from either of them before. It was especially hard at the airport when my son realised mummy was getting on the plane, only writing about it has me in tears. I’m heartbroken at the moment and although I know it’s for the best and we shall all be reunited again in a few weeks, I realise it’s going to be extremely hard on all of us.

Week 23

23 Weeks, Triplet Bump

23 Weeks, Triplet Bump

This week marks a major milestone in any pregnancy, even more so in a multiple one.   This means that my babies now stand a chance of surviving outside the womb should they decide to come…..let’s hope they cook well in mummy’s oven first though!!

My babies should be measuring about 11 inches and weighing just over a 1lbs give or take.

This week I had my first visit to the physio, to help ease my back pain and I must say that my Physiotherapist Angie is fantastic, not only did she ease the pain through massage but she is ever so lovely too.

On today’s ultrasound we have discovered that baby A is the biggest of the three with baby B following and C been the smallest, to this I have to add that all babies are measuring above the average size which is something to celebrate.

Only 4 ½ weeks till my flight to UK and it’s all starting to seem more real. [Read more...]

With only six weeks to go, the pressure is piling on for the hubby and I to get everything ready for our little boys before I leave Gibraltar… and the worst thing of all, is that I have to do it all whilst battling with the unrelenting back pain that now tortures me day and night!

Although the pain cannot be helped by form of medication (regardless of how much I plead or pray), I have received countless back and foot rubs from my caring family which have eased the pain… if only for a minute.

Mid week we took Evan to the Lesuire centre where we all enjoyed some quality family

time.  Evan loves to Bowl and so we played a few rounds followed by a few arcade games.  Peter also treated us to one lovely meal and so we had a perfect day out.

Saturday was a busy day … We started off the day with a family photoshoot at the beach and with the weather on our side we were able to enjoy the warm sunshine and Evan got to play around in the sand. After lunch, Evan and I went to my cousin’s birthday tea party, where we enjoyed some lovely strawberry and cream sponge cake.

With regards to “getting ready for the boys”, my lovely relatives have this week helped me be that much closer to my goal. As with my first son, there were some large items which – from day one – I scoured the shops to make sure I found just the right one for my babies. With regards to the bouncer, I knew I’d found the right one when I saw a velvety, blue bouncing cradle (which plays music and vibrates). My Auntie and Uncle, who had also bought me a bouncer for young Evan when he was a born, along with their son, daughter and son-in-law have bought my little

men three matching bouncing baby cradles… just the ones I wanted.

Farewell for now, all my love,

Bump this week

Bump this week

What a fantastic week it has been.   On Wednesday, I was treated to a wonderful massage at our local spa by the hubby, a tiny taste of heaven!!  On Friday I had my family over to celebrate my Birthday and we had one lovely home cooked meal, which was prepared by my sister, hubby and myself, but what made my day extra special was having my grandad over, he isn’t that mobile these days bless him, so he doesn’t attend that many parties anymore.    As if that wasn’t enough on Saturday the celebrations continued at my cousin Lily’s flat, here she had a beautician over and we were all treated to manicures, pedicures, facials and massages, it was the perfect girly day.   Later that evening my sister, Peter and I headed off to the cinema to watch the new Oz movie, it was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Sunday we had another lovely meal at my place and my Mum and Sister joined us yet again. On Monday, Peter treated me and Evan to pizza at a lovely restaurant followed by an amazing Ice cream. [Read more...]

Week 20

Week 20 Bump!!

Week 20 Bump!!

I would like to start of this weeks blog by congratulating my friend Nicky on the birth of her beautiful baby girl Lauren, I am still to meet her, but seen some photos and she is just perfect!!!

This week I got to see my little beans again and OMG was I in for a shock when I saw how chubby all three of them were, especially Baby B, he was the chubbiest xD The sonographer, Maria, managed to get a great shot of babies A and C already fighting over bedroom space. I  think Baby C is the bully out of the three though, since he is the one who is usually stretched out and comfy, and Baby A, WOW, he is definitely the most active of the three, I can feel him kick and move constantly, bet he is gonna be as hyper as his big brother Evan!!

Me and the ever so lovely Sharon from Piece Of Cake

Me and the ever so lovely Sharon from Piece Of Cake

So here I am again, this week I have some good news to share.   My freind Kayleigh gave birth to a beautiful girl, whom I’m absolutely in love with, I take this oportunity to congratulate both her and her other half, well done guys she is adorable!!

More good news, the owner of Piece of Cake bakery, Sharon, met up with me for coffee on Tuesday and she has offered to sponsor both the babies Christening and 1st Birthday cakes, how cool is that, in case you missed it she made Evan an incredible birthday cake, in February, and I cant wait to see what she comes up with for the christening!!! Thanks Sharon, you are a star.

Now back to the pregnancy Lol, this week I was admitted into hospital for a night, because I had a tiny amount of blood in my urine, at first they thought it might be an infection but results came back clear, and since the amounts were not alarming I was sent home.  Today I have an ultrasound and to be honest I’m a little nervous because of this, BUT, I’m gonna remain positive because I know deep inside that everything will be ok and in a few months time I will meet my three little men xD

Well some of you may know that my Birthday is coming up on the 29th, and funny enough I’m turning 29!!! I was thinking of writing a little wish list here, you know just a lil hint for the hubby and family haha so here it goes.

Hey guys, this week has been a a crazy one, been really busy with work, and both Evan and myself have had a cold.

Moving on from all the craziness, my week hasn’t been bad at all, met up with my preggy friends Nicola and Kayleigh again, we had a lovely lunch together at one my favourite lunch time venue’s.

My baby shower was amazing, my family did such a great job with all the decorations and every little detail was perfect.  I’m so grateful to my Mum, Aunt and Sis who gave their all, to make the day a memorable one!!  I also have to thank all my friends and family for all the lovely gifts, and especially for all the lovely comments they left on my baby book, it was very emotional reading some of them, and I almost turned my house into a water park with so many tears haha!!  I also have to thank my dear friend Bianca for once again capturing all these special moments, its a shame we can never get her in front of the camera though Lol And a special shout out to my friend Nadine, from the Varyl Begg Social Club who prepared some lovely snacks for us.
